Algonquin

Plan your visit

Knowing what to expect makes a first Sunday a lot easier. Here is how a service at our Algonquin congregation flows, from the worship that opens it to the room we save for meeting you after.

01Doors at 12:30 PM

Before You Arrive

A greeter in a Welcome Home t-shirt, arms open in the hallway beside the Lighthouse Algonquin banner that reads Sundays 1 PM.

Doors open at 12:30 PM, and a greeter will be at the building to point you to the room.

Our room can change from week to week, so follow us on Instagram at @lighthouse.algonquin for the latest on exactly where we are meeting this Sunday.

021:00 PM start

During the Service

Three worship leaders singing into handheld microphones at the front of the room, the Lighthouse Algonquin banner behind them.

The service starts at 1 PM with live worship. Stand, sit, sing along, or just take it in. However you engage is welcome here.

Our host greets the room, welcomes first-timers without putting anyone on the spot, and walks through anything happening that week. Then we move back into worship together, settling the room into the teaching to come.

From here we join our main location for the message, on screen or live in the room. Rooted in scripture and practical for the week ahead. Take notes, or just listen.

We pray together over what was shared, and over whatever you walked in carrying. Then we close the service the same way each week, declaring our confession together as one house.

03Let's meet you

After the Service

Two men talking in the rows of chairs after the service, one mid-sentence with a hand out and the other listening, with others chatting behind them.

When the service ends, stick around. This part is not an afterthought, it is where we get to meet you.

Light snacks are out right after the closing confession. Grab something and take your time. Nobody is rushing you out the door.

The people sitting near you are glad to introduce themselves, so you do not have to make the first move, and our pastors stay in the room after service. Come say hello, ask a question, or just say you were here.

If you can’t stay for it, fill a connect card before you go and we will reach out to you.
